CUSTOM FEEDING AGREEMENT
Between BRENNAN CATTLE
COMPANY OF LANARK, INC., hereafter referred to as "FEEDLOT" and
_______________________, hereafter referred to as "OWNER".
1. Owner will deliver
cattle to feedlot, if he is providing cattle. If OWNER wants an accurate
break-even for cattle, he will provide FEEDLOT with a statement describing
cattle, pay weight, cost and any additional expenses incurred prior to delivery
of cattle.
2. FEEDLOT has a managed care program for health of cattle and OWNER can perform
processing themselves prior to
delivery of cattle which must include: 4-Way (modified live vaccine), 7-Way,
Worm, Implant, and Pour (Sept-May). Numbered ear tags are required for
identification purposes (a suitable color should be indicated by FEEDLOT that
will differentiate with other colors currently on hand), and can be performed by
FEEDLOT for nominal fee to OWNER. Preg Check can be provided by FEEDLOT
Veterinarian, by request of OWNER, at cost to OWNER. If OWNER designates
processing to be done by FEEDLOT, Managed Care Program will be administered at
cost plus labor. For example, 1st processing charges are usually $7.75 per hd
which includes a Ralgro implant. If implant not used, 1st processing will be
somewhat less, and other implants are available at a cost somewhat above the
$7.75 per hd. A 2nd processing will be performed at 14-21 days based on the
health of the cattle as part of the Managed Care Program and based on what is
done, is typically $2.25 per hd for 4-Way, 7-Way.
3. FEEDLOT will feed and care for the cattle, using all necessary treatments
required to keep cattle healthy and comfortable, until such time as cattle are
sold or removed. (Owner should note expectations in space allotted at bottom of
agreement for treatment limitations to be observed by Feedlot in health of
cattle). Stock insurance for catastrophic losses is provided at no additional
cost to Owner by Feedlot. FEEDLOT assumes no death loss responsibility, but will
care for cattle to best of its ability.
4. Complete and accurate records will be maintained by FEEDLOT. Feed will be
billed at current market value. Veterinary expenses will be billed at drug cost
plus labor. Yardage is $.24 ph/pd and generally includes bedding for pen.
Invoices and supporting documentation will be prepared on the 1st and 15th of
each month, which are due and payable upon receipt by OWNER.
5. OWNER may inspect his cattle at any time with the right of removal upon
payment of all financial obligations to FEEDLOT, if OWNER is dissatisfied with
Feedlot operations.
6. Upon sale or removal of cattle, a profit/loss will be prepared if OWNER has
provided data upon arrival of cattle, based on expenses incurred while at
Feedlot.
Terms and conditions of
this Agreement and any Supplements shall be binding on the heirs, executors,
administrators, successors and assigns of all parties named in the same manner
as upon original parties, in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.
